Who I am

Vijay Kandhalu, Scotland, UK, is the controller for enquiries sent through this website. Email hello@numberplate.sale.

What the form collects

If you send an enquiry, the form collects:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number, if you choose to give one
  • the plate you are asking about
  • an offer amount, if you give one
  • your message, if you write one
  • what you plan to put the plate on, if you say
  • a record that you agreed to this notice

The form also has a hidden field that people are asked to leave empty. It is there to catch automated spam. Please leave it blank.

The host may keep technical logs, such as an IP address, for security. TODO: owner to name the host. The intended host is Netlify.

Why I use it

I use these details to reply to you and, if we agree a sale, to complete the transfer. The reason is that you have asked me to take steps before a contract. I also have a legitimate interest in answering genuine enquiries and refusing spam.

I do not sell these details. I do not add you to a marketing list.

How long I keep it

TODO: owner to confirm. The working assumption is that enquiry emails are kept for12 months if there is no sale, and that records of a completed sale are kept for6 years.

Who else sees it

The form is sent to Formspree at https://formspree.io/f/myekoeyp. Formspree is the processor that receives the submission and emails it to me. TODO: owner to confirm where Formspree stores that data and which safeguard covers the transfer if it leaves the UK. The site itself is hosted on Netlify. TODO: owner to confirm the host.

Cookies

This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. It does not ask you to create an account.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your details, ask me to correct them, or ask me to delete them where the law allows. You can object to use based on legitimate interests. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this notice changes, the new version will be on this page, with a review date. TODO: owner to add the date after review.
